We use a range of flat plate collectors, all made in the European Union to very high standards. Each collector has a light absorbing surface area of between 1.3 and 2.8 square metres and are coated with the most advanced highly selective surfaces for improved performance. The absorber surface is housed in a high quality aluminium casing and insulated to the back and sides. All of our flat plate collectors have passed European testing EN12975.
An array of heat pipe evacuated tubes connected to a highly insulated top manifold. Each of the heat pipes is vacuum-sealed in a glass tube to minimise heat loss. The heat pipes themselves contain a special fluid that allows solar radiation to be absorbed and transferred very efficiently to the household stored hot water. All of our evacuated tube collectors have passed European testing EN12975.
Modern solar collectors have absorbers coated with a selective surface. A metal object painted matt black and exposed to the sun will absorb a lot of solar energy, but will also allow much of that absorbed energy to radiate away again. Selective surfaces are designed to absorb the sun's energy, but unlike matt black paint are able to restrict the energy lost through radiation, thus making them more efficient.

Our UK made cylinders are available in various sizes and types to suit a range of installations and all have thick foam insulation, high efficiency heat exchange solar coils and are fully compliant with current building regulations.
solar pipes, pump and controlsTo ensure optimum performance from our solar collectors and hot water cylinders, it is essential that all other system components are of equally high quality. Therefore we use industry leading pump technology and digital control equipment, and all other components are carefully chosen for their performance and reliability.
